We continue to explore our most coveted pure linen bedding combinations with styling guidance on how to bring each look to life in your space. This week's focus is on fresh, neutral layers of cloud-like whites and sea-inspired blues.

Fresh White – Ayrton & Petra

Soft and timeless Ayrton is a year-round favourite, offering a heavenly balance of freshness and classic style when styled with Petra, our pale stone hue. The latter is a versatile off-white that has been created with a melange weave combining Ayrton and warm, sandy Sable. Classic antique white Ayrton is ideal as a mid-hue, lending a brightening layer to Petra and creating a brilliant tonal scheme.

Styling and variations

Any soft, light mid-hue will easily add an accent to this neutral white combination. Choose your accent hue based on the desired tone, for example, fo you wish for a cool palette, Argent, Fog or Azura will work beautifully, while Sable or Carmel are perfect for a warm palette. A set of pillowcases and or a flat sheet in your chosen hue will be enough to balance the tonal look. To enhance and add interest to this neutral scheme, look to stripe pillowcases and/or accessories – Ayrton/Russo or Sable/Brun for a warm palette, and Sable/Roy (for greens) or Fog/Tempest (for blue) or Ayrton/Nox (for both) for a cool palette. Quilts and coverlets add a luxurious, cloud-like final layer. See Shop our Style for pillow and accessory configurations best suited for you.

Mediterranean Blues – Fog & Roy

Calming Fog and Roy evoke leisurely days of sun and sea, inspiring a look that has classic appeal yet can be easily adapted for a more contemporary aesthetic. Fog is the primary hue in this scheme, offering a soft, light blue that imbues a calming effect that won’t overpower your space. Our cornflower-hued Roy works as a tonal accent, with both Fog and Roy falling into the dusty side of the blue spectrum.

Styling and variations

Both Fog and Roy can easily and effectively be switched over as primary and accent hues.

Using Roy as the primary colour will make more of a statement, while still bringing tonal cohesion and calm to your space. Including a neutral hue such as Ayrton or Petra will brighten the scheme and add further coolness, and Sable will add warmth. All of these neutrals work wonderfully as a contrasting fitted sheet, pillowcases or accessories. These soothing blues are best styled loosely for a relaxed, effortless look.
